The family Incertae sedis 16 was originally proposed by 2015. Nouioui et al. replaced this illegitimate name with Castellani and Chalmers 1919 (Approved Lists 1980) emend. Nouioui et al. 2018 in 2018.

"Incertae sedis" ("of uncertain placement") are placeholders and should not be considered to be formal names.
